Master's Men

26 teams from 9 states made their way to Nashville for the 2008 edition of the Master’s Men National Softball Tournament.

The action was hot but the weather was hotter. With temperatures reaching the mid 90’s both days, there were a lot of tired ball players both days. This may be the reason for some extremely low scoring games.

Though it was hot, it was dry, which is what you want when you’re playing softball.

This year’s winner traveled all the way from Ft. Smith, AR. Community Free Will Baptist Church walked away with the championship trophy, going undefeated in the tournament. Kirby Red from MI, the 2006 champion, finished second. Last year’s champion Westgate from SC finished third with Northridge from OH finishing fourth.  In the consolation tournament, Calvary Fellowship from MO finished first with Zion Hill Green from GA finishing second.
